Long before written records, Maldivian history lived in the voices of elders. Stories of voyages, storms survived, traditions maintained, and islands transformed were passed from generation to generation through speech alone. Mahaldeeb's oral history project captures these voices — preserving them in audio and transcribed form for the future.
